I had a Boston center before the Motif. Wow, what a big difference! The clarity is outstanding. You hear things you didn't hear before. I have it paired with Martin Logan Montage as my main speakers. Wether watching tv or listening to music, the sound is breathtaking. All three speakers work well with each other, without being overbearing. Well worth the money. I got the Motif on sale. You won't be disappointed!

I hesitated to purchase this speaker, it was a lot of money for a center channel speaker. I happened upon a great one day sale of the unit so I went for it. I have not been disappointed. I upgraded from using a Martin Logan Vignette as the center and this has been a huge step up in quality and clarity. Some key points:
-If your hesitant on this speaker, examine which speaker you will get the most use out of based on what movies you like. Most home theater designers would say that the center channel is by far the most important speaker in the system (dialogue). If most of your movies use more subwoofer (I'm looking at you Transformers) and not so much dialogue, then maybe spend the money on a really huge sub or bribes to the neighbors to keep in good standing.
-The speaker looks amazing.
-The curved electrostatic allows a broad sweet spot. The technology itself is impressive, I love the geek factor of it.
-Dialoge and music are amazingly sharp and clear.
Overall this has brought movies really to life and added a whole new dimension to them. The speaker is amazingly well built.
ML is terrific to work with. They helped give me advice on how to set it up and adjust. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly and knowledgeable on their products. It was clear they all had a passion for their product. Bravo Martin Logan on an amazing speaker.
